Hello, my name is Duncan Brown, an English Communication Facilitator.
Learn more about me at the facilitator page.
Based in Sano, I help learners develop their English skills confidently and naturally.
Through guidance at Brown’s English Language School (BELS), students get practical experience in English communication.
Two things will help you increase your vocabulary; curiosity and effort!
Curiosity: How do you say ΟΟ in English?
Effort: Find the word or sentence, there are many ways to do this now.
That’s the easier part; the more challenging part is remembering and using it correctly.
Start with a simple sentence.
- This is an apple.
Add more information.
- This is a red apple.
- This is a shiny, red apple.
- This is a shiny, red apple. It is sweet.
Give your opinion.
- This is a shiny, red apple. It is sweet and tasty.
- This is a shiny, red apple. It is sweet and tasty. I like to eat apples.
Add more information.
- This is a shiny, red apple. It is sweet and tasty. I like to eat apples in Autumn.
Some of these sentences don’t sound like natural English, however, by adding more information and your opinion, you are increasing your vocabulary and communication.
Of course, it’s not as simple as adding more words to a sentence; you need to know how. Self-study is essential but taking lessons too is better.
In lessons you should get guidance on; vocabulary, grammar, cultural awareness, and real speaking practice.
However, being prepared with a new word or phrase to use in a lesson can satisfy your curiosity about how to use them.
