Many English Teachers say, "Don't say, 'My name is (name)', 'I'm (name)' is how we native English speakers speak." I disagree, use 'My name is (name)'
What's the difference between a foreign name you don't recognise and a foreign word you don't recognise? Nothing.
Signposting your name makes for better communication as it highlights who you are and not what you are.
